The UFC heads to the Land of Lakes on Friday night for a card on FX. These are the big questions that will be answered by the time the fights are over.
Can Antonio Silva get back on track? In his last two bouts, "Bigfoot" has been knocked out twice. Both were in the first round, and both were to American Kickboxing Academy-trained fighters with outstanding wrestling backgrounds. On Friday, he will take on the undefeated Travis Browne. Is this the fight Silva needs to stop his losing skid?
Will Jay Hieron's long career finally have a UFC win? Hieron has a record of 23-5, and has fought in the UFC twice. His first fight in the Octagon was at UFC 48 against some up-and-comer named Georges St-Pierre, who knocked Hieron out in the first round. A year later, he fought Jonathan Goulet at Ultimate Fight Night 2 and lost because of a cut. Seven years later and after stops in the IFL, Strikeforce and Bellator, Hieron is back for a bout with Jake Ellenberger. It's not an easy bout. Will he get the win?
Who will be the next flyweight title challenger? Actually, it's who will be the first flyweight challenger, since Demetrious Johnson is the first owner of the belt. The title shot will go to either "The Ultimate Fighter" winner John Dodson, or Jussier Formiga, who is on five-fight win streak and is making his UFC debut.
Have any predictions for the fights? Speak up in the comments, on Twitter or on Facebook.
UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson is defending his title against Nate Diaz in December. Though the two appear to be vastly different, Henderson told Cagewriter that he sees a common ground with his opponent.
"I don't think we're all that different. I think we're pretty similar. He expresses himself in a different way, but we're both fighters. Both pretty emotional, amped-up guys. I really don't think that we're all that different," Henderson said. "I do think that the media and people will try to portray that and play that up, and if it sells tickets, great. If it gets people to tune in, I'm all for it."
Henderson, who grew up near Seattle, where he will fight in December, said he understands where Diaz is coming from.
"He had a hard life growing up. He grew up in a bad neighborhood. Where I grew up wasn't all that great, either. He talks about it a little more and portrays that. You can pick and choose how to portray yourself. We come from the same place, I just choose to portray myself a little differently."
Come back to Cagewriter tomorrow for more from Henderson.

Jon Jones' win on Saturday night was awe-inspiring. He survived a grotesque armbar, and came back to win with fourth-round submission. He seems to keep getting better and better with each fight, this time incorporating jiu-jitsu skills into his win. At the moment, he appears unbeatable.
Are there any fighters in the UFC who can eventually take him on and win? Any fighters who can take time to study Jones, figure out his every move, and then finally solve the Jon Jones puzzle?
Dan Henderson: The one-time PRIDE and Strikeforce champion was supposed to fight Jones before he was injured and UFC 151 was canceled. He has already put in the time and effort to fight Jones, and may already have him figured out. His age is an issue, but Henderson still wants the fight.
Alexander Gustaffson: One of Jones' biggest advantages is his reach. He was able to hold Belfort at bay throughout the fight by simply extending his arm. At 6-foot-5, Gustafsson is an inch taller. He has a fight lined up with former champ Mauricio "Shogun" Rua who will show if "The Viking" is ready for the next step.
Chael Sonnen: Based on Sonnen's inability to handle Anderson Silva in their last fight, there is no reason to believe Sonnen could beat Jones. However, the run-up to the fight would be so much fun. Considering the UFC put Jones up against a middleweight who lost a title shot, integrity of the belt doesn't matter as much as entertainment or making money. Sonnen has already shown he can get under Jones' skin in a way no one else has, and that just may give him the edge in a bout.
Anderson Silva: Could he beat Jones? Yes. Will this fight ever, ever happen? No. Silva keeps talking about wanting a fight with welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, and he does have a few challenges waiting for him at middleweight.
Who is missing from this list? Speak up in the comments, on Facebook or Twitter.

At UFC 153, Sergio Moraes pulled out his first UFC win. He beat Renee Forte with a rear-naked choke in the third round of their preliminary card bout. After releasing the choke, Moraes held on to Forte for a celebratory kiss.
OK, if these two wanted to smooch, that's cool. But it seemed like Forte was uncomfortable with Moraes' celebration. In the future, Sergio, ask before smooching.

With Chael Sonnen coaching "The Ultimate Fighter" and fighting UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones, Forrest Griffin needed a new opponent for UFC 155. Today, he got one in the form of Phil Davis, who just beat Wagner Prado in Brazil at UFC 153.
Griffin won a decision over the retiring Tito Ortiz at UFC 148 in July. This will be the fourth time in 2012 that Davis will fight. He dropped a decision to Rashad Evans in January, then his first fight with Prado ended in a no contest in August after an eyepoke stopped the bout.
This fight is another strong addition to the year-end card that is already looking good. UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos will rematch with Cain Velasquez. Tim Boetsch and Chris Weidman will square off, Joe Lauzon will fight Gray Maynard, and Alan Belcher will meet Yushin Okami.
Of course, it's October. There are still six weeks until this fight card happens. With the luck the UFC has had this year, this line-up will not make it to Dec. 29. Every fighter on the card needs to be careful around mirrors, avoid black cats and ladders, throw salt at every opportunity, and just stay healthy.
At UFC 153, Sergio Moraes pulled out his first UFC win. He beat Renee Forte with a rear-naked choke in the third round of their preliminary card bout. After releasing the choke, Moraes held on to Forte for a celebratory kiss.

Pro wrestling is to MMA what the McRib is to slow-cooked Memphis barbecue, but every once in awhile, pro wrestling gets a little too real.
On Monday night in Sacramento, WWE wrestler CM Punk apparently went off-script during a sequence with WWE chairman Vince McMahon and backhanded a fan in the stands. The initial assumption is that it was staged ?even a heart attack, is initially suspect ?but a WWE statement released Tuesday afternoon to Yahoo! Sports makes it clear this was not part of the show:
"During last night's Raw televised event, WWE Superstar CM Punk exited the ring into the stands as part of the show. WWE security was unfortunately not in the appropriate place at the time. Given CM Punk's persona as a 'bad guy,' fans were naturally heckling him, but unfortunately a few fans began shoving him and one struck in him in the kidney and on the back. WWE regrets that proper security measures were not in place, and CM Punk apologizes for reacting in the heat of the moment. Other than this isolated incident, WWE always provides proper security to ensure the safety of our fans and our performers."
Amateur video of the event shows that Punk just flat-out lost his temper with fans badgering him. And, as is so often the case in these audience brawls, Punk apparently went after the wrong guy.
Laura Cole, a Sacramento CBS reporter, sought out the fan whom Punk decked. According to Cole's Twitter feed, the fan "says he never hit Punk," and that "his face is a little warm. ? He also says Punk broke his glasses." Cole further noted that the fan was filing paperwork with local law enforcement.
So what went wrong here? As you can see in the above video, Punk was almost completely swarmed by fans in the stands. Still, he's got to figure that at a wrestling match, people might just be a little hyped up. So, yes, while a lack of WWE security might have played a role, fundamentally it's on Punk to keep in control.
More on this as it develops.

Matt Hamill's return to the Octagon was less than thrilling. Hamill may have won his first post-retirement bout with a decision over Roger Hollett, but he didn't win many fans with the slow, plodding bout. The crowd at UFC 152 in Toronto booed the bout, and the fight was panned on social media.
One of the notable tweets about how boring the fight was came from UFC fight Vladimir Matyushenko:
Damn! Even injured I could beat @hammerufc and @rogerhollett together! What a weak fight!
? Vladimir Matyushenko (@vladthejanitor) September 23, 2012
At one point, it was supposed to be Matyushenko in the cage with Hamill. The fight that was originally made for UFC 152 was Hamill vs. Hollett. However, Hollett was still under contract with Bellator. Matyushenko stepped in to fight Hamill, but then tore his Achilles' tendon in training. Hollett had his contract situation cleared up, and was brought back into fight Hamill.
But even with his torn tendon, Matyushenko thought he could still bring a better fight than the one he saw on Saturday night.

Razer has been big on Star Wars gaming gear, but never quite like this. Enter a free contest and there's a chance to win a completely unique Star Wars: The Old Republic version of Razer's Blade gaming laptop. The winner sees the system's normally black shell replaced with a matte, laser-etched aluminum gray and the green backlighting dropped in favor of a subtler yellow matched to the MMORPG logo. Anyone who brings out this portable at a bring-your-own-computer gaming party is inevitably going to be the center of attention, although we have a feeling some would almost prefer the second-place bundle of peripherals -- at an estimated worth of $15,000, the Star Wars Blade might be too precious to carry for all but the most well-heeled of fans.
